  • This tool uses a simplified Isolated Margin formula. The actual liquidation price is also affected by funding rate, unrealized P/L and the insurance-fund mechanism — always defer to the figure shown inside the exchange
  • Futures trading amplifies losses: the higher the leverage, the closer the liquidation price
  • If you don't yet understand margin, forced liquidation, funding rate and slippage, do not use leveraged products
  • FeeRadar does not provide signals, calls or position guidance — see Risk Disclosure

Liquidation formula (educational)

Simplified formula (Isolated Margin, funding fee assumed = 0):

Long liquidation: entry × (1 - 1/leverage + MMR)
Short liquidation: entry × (1 + 1/leverage - MMR)
Required initial margin: position size / leverage

This is an educational formula. Real-world exchange calculations are more complex and additionally factor in: (1) accumulated funding rate; (2) unrealized P/L; (3) tiered MMR (the larger the position, the higher the MMR); (4) the insurance fund; (5) price bands.
